The Chinese New Year Luncheon for the elderly beneficiaries from our food distribution channel on February 4th was an incredible success! We are filled with gratitude as we look back on a heartwarming event that brought joy and smiles to the faces of our esteemed elders.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Saktiandi Supaat, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC and Adviser to Bishan-Toa Payoh Grassroots Organisations, for gracing the occasion and personally distributing goodie bags and red packets. His presence added immense value to our celebration, and we are truly grateful for your ongoing support. The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible collaboration with Toa Payoh CC Women’s Executive Committee, headed by the dedicated Catherine Ong. Their exceptional efforts in securing and setting up the location, as well as inviting and bringing the seniors down for lunch, played a pivotal role in making this event a memorable one.
A special shout-out to Nancy and her team of volunteer ukelele musicians and singers who added a festive mood to our celebration with their delightful tunes. Their repertoire, which included both oldies and Chinese New Year songs, created a lively atmosphere and contributed to the overall joy of the event.
The event showcased the power of community unity and demonstrated how coming together can create moments of joy and connection. It was a beautiful representation of caring for those who have paved the way for us, and we are proud to have such a supportive community. A big thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported the event. Your presence and generosity made a significant difference, and we appreciate everyone for being a part of this meaningful celebration.
As the event concludes, we extend our warmest wishes to all for a prosperous and joyous Year of the Dragon. May the spirit of giving and community unity continue to flourish throughout the year. Thank you once again for making the Chinese New Year Luncheon a memorable and impactful event. We look forward to more opportunities to come together and celebrate the spirit of compassion and togetherness in our community.
